From the Bitterroot Valley of Montana – Cookie Grimes is the author, illustrator and narrator of the children’s books A New Year's Family and Jake the Cow Horse. She began her writing career eight years ago when she discovered she was going to become a grandma.
Cookie and husband Steve live on a ranch with their five dogs and a host of other critters. The animals on the ranch constantly appear to be telling stories to Cookie, which she loves to share because the tales always seem to make folks smile.
